Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
What is Intensive outpatient treatment?
At PathLight, we specialize in outpatient programming for addictive disorders for both adults and teens. Currently, we are the only counseling agency to offer this program to teens in North Georgia. This is different than a 12-step program for several reasons. Our 4-month American Society of Addiction Medicine Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) includes both group and individual counseling. Each patient will collaborate with their educated, trained and credentialed counselor to develop an individualized treatment plan designed to address health biologically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually. We are careful to select staff members who have had life experiences that allow them to be extremely empathetic to those on the road to sobriety. Each client will be guided to identify underlying causes of addiction to help build a new life, sober and free.
We offer a program which integrates both clinical and Christian principles together. Each client has the ability to choose which is best for them. Many of our patients have completed a residential program, although this is not necessary for acceptance into our IOP. Many of our clients are professionals with a family and a full-time job, which is why this program is designed to work around clients’ work schedules. Our approach is totally non-judgmental and forward looking. This is not a 12-step program, but rather a structured, evidenced-based program proven to be extremely effective.
